Thank you to Cross Road Church for hosting our October’s Stated Mission Presbytery meeting. It was fruitful and fun! 

Rev. Brian Diebold and the Cross Road folks went all out to welcome our Commissioners and guests with love, joy, and a memorable, delicious barbecue meal with a Western theme. Rev. Brian’s stunt after dinner, which saw Laurie and I competing with pies and mush mellows on our faces, brought levity and laughter to all of us. Lord have mercy on you, Brian! 

Thank you also to our Presbytery office staff who went beyond the call of duty, Stated Clerk, Rev. Laurie Palmer, our Office Administrator, Melody Gonzalez, our Youth Advocate and Communications Director, Caitlin Supcoff, our amazing Executive Director of John Knox Ranch, Henry Owen, and our Accountant, Jeanne Morgan. These disciples of Jesus rock, y’all!

Thanks also to our outgoing Moderator, Rev. Dan Milford. You did an outstanding job. We welcome our new Moderator, Rev. Monica Smith. We look forward to a wonderful journey together next year.

Congratulations also to Dr. Carlos Baladez for being certified ready to receive a call. We look forward to witnessing what God has in store for you. Thank you, Ed Palmer, for taking all those pictures of our Presbytery meeting. 

Above all, I thank God for you, each and every one of you. The commissioned elders worked really hard throughout the time we were apart. These two days were a cumulation of all the work which had preceded our gathered time together. The detailed Presbytery reports showed this hard work. 

May God bless all of you as you continue to participate in God’s mission in our midst. The many ministries and missions you are involved in are amazing. The Holy Spirit guides us on this journey. Your work is holy.
