People and Teams

Much of the work of Mission Presbytery is carried out by dedicated volunteers who serve on commissions, committees, and task forces.
Commissions have full authority and power to act as the Presbytery between presbytery meetings. Their members are nominated by CORP and must be ruling elders or teaching elders in Mission Presbytery. Commissions of Mission Presbytery are General Council (GC), Commission on Ministry (COM), Permanent Judicial Commission (PJC), and Trustees of Mission Presbytery.
Committees of Mission Presbytery are tasked with carrying out specific aspects of our mission and vision. Members of committees are nominated by CORP and must be teaching or ruling elders in Mission Presbytery. The committees of Mission Presbytery are: Committee on Preparation for Ministry (CPM), Human Resources Team (HRC), Committee on Representation and Participation (CORP), John Knox Ranch Committee(JKR), Fiscal Oversight Committee (FO), Connect Committee, Learn Committee, and Serve Committee.
Mission Presbytery Task Forces determine their own organizational structures. They may ask members from presbytery congregations to serve. Task Force members do not have to be ruling elders or teaching elders. Only the chairs of Task Forces are nominated by CORP.
Mission Presbytery Task Forces are: Disaster Preparedness and Assistance (DPATF), Presbyterian Women Coordinating Team (PWCT), Youth Connection Task Force (YCTF), New Ministries Task Force (NMTF), and Ministry Vitality Task Force (MVTF).
