Communion Training

Sharing communion, participating in the joyful feast of the people of God, is one the great privileges of our faith and a key part of our worship. However, we are aware that some congregations, without regular pastoral leadership, are not able to celebrate this sacrament. 

Your Mission Presbytery Commission on Ministry affirms the importance of the Lord’s Supper and as a part of Christian worship and is looking for ways to make the table more accessible. 

One option is for Ruling Elders of such congregations to be trained and certified to officiate at the Communion Table. Such training is congregation-specific and designed for situations that lack any other means to celebrate Communion. 

COM will offer Communion Training on Thursday, October 15 at 2:00 p.m. at Northwoods Presbyterian Church in San Antonio.
