Meals you packaged are headed to Honduras!

Honduras, a Central American country, has a population of over 9 million people. Almost 40% of the population in Honduras make a living by working in agriculture. The World Food Program considers Honduras to be a hunger hotspot due to El Niño weather conditions and natural disasters that impact agriculture production and threaten food supplies. The Global Hunger Index, which assesses food insecurity based on indicators that measure undernourishment and undernutrition, categorizes Honduras  as having a “moderate” level of hunger, with many areas facing higher food insecurity.

Your impact

To address some of the food and nutrition security challenges in this country, Rise Against Hunger collaborates with organizations working to provide meals to children, pregnant women, and new mothers. This is a key part of Rise Against Hunger’s Nourishing Lives pathway. The meals you packaged will be distributed through programs working to improve the long-term health of children by focusing on nutrition throughout pregnancy and in early childhood. You’re helping ensure that children have access to the consistent nourishment they need to live healthy lives, while also supporting the opportunity to receive an early childhood education that will serve them for years to come.
