•February 19—21, 2012 Mission Presbytery Winter Retreat
Compassionate Evangelism: Sharing Our Love, Sharing Our Faith
Click here for the brochure and more information.

We need your response before November 28, 2011.

Mission Presbytery joins other presbyteries in the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.) who are engaged in innovative outreach programs in order to "Grow Christ's Church Deep and Wide"—a church wide emphasis adopted by the 218th General Assembly (2008) to help congregations grow through evangelism, discipleship, servant hood and diversity. This conference will focus on evangelism.

The ECN [Education & Congregational Nurture] Committee and the Evangelism Sub-Committee of the Church Development Committee have joined together to sponsor a unique opportunity for pastors and interested members of their churches to come together at beautiful Mo-Ranch, February 19—21, 2012, to join Rev. Ray Jones, Coordinator for Evangelism General Assembly Mission Council of the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.), our keynote speaker, and other church members who will be exploring ways to engage our congregations in God's work in our communities. Ray is not only a dynamic speaker, but also a great facilitator. At this retreat, we will listen together, learn together, and pray together, and worship together.

When conducting Evangelism training, Ray begins with the assumption that people cannot share what they don't have. So, he engages conferees by looking at discipleship, spheres of influence, serving, and how to share our story.

We want to be good stewards of limited funds, in other words, we do not want to lose our deposit that we have already sent to Mo-Ranch but the determining factor is whether or not we get a minimum of 50 people signed up for the conference, by December 2, 2011. That is where we need your involvement. We need you to provide us with the number of individuals in your congregation who will attend this conference. You do not have to send the deposits at this time; we will treat an RSVP for a member as a commitmen. We will need your response before or during the week of November 28, 2011.

Let's get excited about Evangelism!
