Information" for more News and Donation information
Our congregation at FPC continues to be so grateful to
all of you who have called, emailed, or otherwise been in contact with us as we
attempt to minister to the needs created by the Bastrop County Complex
Wildfire. Your generosity with your gifts and prayers have been a tremendous
source of strength and encouragement for us. We are committed to compassionate
stewardship of the resources that are being entrusted to us in support of this
ministry. Thank you all.
Now we are in long-term relief
assistance. In particular, at the request of our church, Presbyterian Disaster
Assistance has come to walk with us through this time. We are already grateful
for their presence, and are looking forward to their long-term guidance and
support.
We know that far beyond the
needs of the next few months, we, working with so many others, will have the
opportunity to make a difference for good in the lives of thousands of people in
Bastrop County. Please continue to lift us up in your prayers, so that we may
continue to meet the challenges this disaster brings our way, caring for all who
are in need. Trusting in God's word, we are claiming the promise of Jeremiah
29:11: For surely I know the plans I have for you, says the LORD, plans for
your welfare and not for disaster, to give you a future with hope.
